Who sues someone for taking a baseball?! Sorry, maybe I’m just not a die-hard sports fanatic…but really? One of our recent Property cases was who gets to keep Bary Bonds 73rd home run ball.
The question becomes:
Is it the guy who caught it in the glove and then was pushed down in the crowd?
Or the man who found it after it at slipped out of the glove?
(You know girls, like catching the bouquet at a wedding! Is it the tall girl that half caught it, or the girl who ripped it out of her hands as she fell to the ground?)
However, it does remind me of Solomon…apparently each had equal interest in the ball, therefore it was the judge’s decision to sell the ball and split the proceeds. Ha! Now no one gets it.
