In the second year of law school, you are finally into a schedule of time management. You understand what is coming. The threat of November brings on the realization that you should be studying your outlines for finals. Teachers don't seem quite so scary, even though they manage to shove way more information into your head than you ever thought possible.
Atleast that is my experience
I have 2 classes outlined, with 2 more to go. Yes, I have a lighter load than first year, but allow me to remind you of the summer classes I sat through in order to make that happen.
I've also been surprised at how practical things have become. Last year, I did not see the practical application of learning about the degrees of murder, nor the tort of mishandling a dead body. But individual income tax... now that is something that directly applies to me. And business associations, is teaching me about the degrees of liability between a general and limited partnership. Even if I don't personally become an entrepreneur and begin my own business, I could potentially educate someone who was considering it. (I doubt I would ever be in the position to inform anyone of the consequences of mishandling a dead body)
The course schedule came out for the Spring, and I'm now deep into planning for my future. Its no longer fun saying "yes, I'm a law student" to someone I meet. I now want to avoid speaking of law school at all cost. I have to start considering in what state I may practice someday, or if I want to practice at all. The "BAR" is a phrase used more in conversation with studying, rather then where student's went last Friday night.
I've heard 2L stands for being in law school "Too Long"
Understatement.

And although I am about half way into my legal education- I still find days where I question why I'm doing this all.
But I'll stick with it. Even for the sheer fact I don't want to change my etsy and blog name for another year and a half :)

Lol this made me chuckle...
I have always wondered how you fit all your crafting and blogging into your uni schedule.
But oh the second year was good times... It was my fourth which was manic! Working 9am-11pm then 6am-11pm at the end nearly killed me!
And im considering going back :o
Good luck to you :D
Hang in there you can do it. I would love to be able to do law school. Maybe someday I will be writing a similar post.
So. I think that you should make your initial/name hangers into initial/name Christmas ornaments. You know... in that plethora of spare time that year 2 is giving you:)
